About
Pray For Africa
It started last summer.
An extactic teenager boarded a plane to take him half-way around the world.
He thought he was going to change lives.
He thought he was going to work on a water well.
He thought he was going to share Christ with Muslim brothers.
He thought wrong.
God changed my life under that African sun.
Yes, I repaired a water well that now provides clean water to a relatively large village on the outskirts of Dar es Salaem.
Yes, I was given the opportunity to talk to some amazing Muslim people about the living water, Jesus Christ.
But the story doesn’t come close to ending there, because
God changed my life under that African sun.
On the plane ride home I couldn’t sleep.
I then blamed it on jet lag but now I realize that God was getting my attention.
My head couldn’t stop spinning.
I refused to believe that the trip was over.
That the extent of what I could do to help the people I had just met,
The people that had stole my heart,
Was reached.
I began racking my brain for a way to continue to meet these people’s physical and spiritual needs.
Finally, I came to a conclusion that was so simple that I kicked myself for not coming to is sooner.
Pray For Africa.
As a Christian, the most powerful weapon our arsenal is prayer.
I began praying.
For the people I knew by name.
For the faces I saw.
For the ones I didn’t see.
As I did so, I began to think of how powerful it would be if all the people I knew prayed too.
And then what if all the people they knew prayed?
I then thought “how are all these people going to know to pray?”
Imediatley God gave me the idea of using my passion of design to start a clothing line.
Everyone wears clothes.
Why not clothes that raise money for pre-existing organizations that help the kind of people that were now on my heart while at the same time uniting and promoting believers in prayer for the salvation of these people?
And thus Pray For Africa was concieved.
A not-so creative-name.
But one that is memorable.
And not for branding’s sake.
But so that people remeber to
For
Africa
I don’t care if you are the first to pre-order every single product or if you never send a cent to PFA,
The reason this clothing company exists is to remind the world that God is in control.
It is my prayer that He uses this to get glory and that He will continue to provide for His kids in Africa.
All proceeds from this clothing company go to Christ-center non-profit organizations that work to better impoverished people’s lives but more importantly share God’s Love. Anything over the suggested price for any products is greatly welcomed and appreciated, the saying is as true as it is cliche, every penny counts!
